Clay: A popular remedy in Europe even in hospitals
Dear friends,
Finally I open the first SunClayTherapy newsletter, a project that I postponed since 2003, the year I created SunClayTherapy.com with my partners. I will put the blame on my busy schedule as I don’t have any other excuses to justify such a delay!
What motivated me lately to finally start this newsletter? Last summer I went back to France after almost 6 years of absence. I visited my parents and of course I went through all my old staff that I left behind me when I moved to the US: Tons of books, magazines, papers that I kept since I was a teenager. Going through all of these years of education and souvenirs to free some precious storage space in my parents’ apartment, I found interesting documents about clay that I accumulated during my years of studies in naturopathic school and then after during my practice. When skimming through the articles and books, I suddenly realized how much popular clay was in France. In one of the articles - “Clay in Hospitals” that I translated for you on this new website - it is reported that clay has been rehabilitated in some big hospitals in France since 1991 – 17 years ago! Claytherapy has become part of routine treatments for many pathologies that failed with the conventional medicine.
Clay is part of my life since I was born. It became my best friend, inseparable, sometimes a little to much sticky! I remember my mom always keeping a bag of clay in the closet of the bathroom for emergency and even non-emergency situations. A patch of clay on the pimple of my face (how embarrassing as a teenager), clay on my inflamed twisted ankle (big time) or on my burned hand (I have never been good in cooking). Clay is the emergency remedy by excellence, any times you don’t know what to do or you don’t have anything else available. As I have heard so many times “It cannot hurt anyway”. So I grew up with a bag of clay close by and continued to use it almost daily until today (I am in my 30’s now, so it’s been a while!).
Clay is one of the most incredibly intelligent substances on Earth. When you know that the first living cells appeared in the hydrated clay, you already understand its exceptional power. When I arrived in the US, I brought one bag of clay in my suitcase that would supply me until I find some more in this vast country that will become my home. When you come from a country were you have access to the highest quality of clay in any health food stores and pharmacies, when you have the choice between 6 or even more colors, in ultra-ventilated powder, surfine powder or crushed, in small box or 6 Lbs bag, in ready to use clay bandage or poultice, finding healing clay in the United States 6 years ago appeared to be a real challenge.
That’s what motivated me to import clay from France, the best that I know so far after having tried so many from around the world. How do I know it is the best? Not because a laboratory test says so, nor a flyer or an article in a magazine; I know because I tried it, I touched it, I felt it and I saw the results. Nothing can replace your unique experience and ability to feel what is good. However for Argiletz clays, it goes beyond the simple empiric experience. Argiletz laboratories is the oldest clay manufacturer in France and for this reason their clays - especially the green illite which shows to be the most interesting for therapeutic purpose - has been the object of numerous governmental and independent research and clinical programs that revealed scientifically the exceptional quality of their clays. The green illite clay from Argiletz is the primary choice for hospitals and doctors for their patients and research studies.
In the future newsletters, I want to share with you those research studies that have been conducted for over 20 years in France and Europe, very well documented through articles and books, that reveal scientifically and indubitably the exceptional healing power of clay. Clay clearly appears to become a major healing alternative for the future. I let you discover it and experience it for yourself.
I would ask you to forgive me for the English mistakes that can show in my writings. Because of business and deadlines issues, I don’t always have the time to summit my lines for correction by my dear English speaking American colleagues. Let’s say that it is part of the package: some people would say it is charming, but it is not intentional. My only wish is to share with you informative and educational support for conscious health and healing. I hope you will enjoy it!
Please share with us your experiences and comments, my team and I stay at your service if you have any questions regarding the use of clay and any other products of the website.
The team and myself wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2009!
Enjoy a Healthy and Beautiful Journey Now!
